$100 Laptop

September 30th, 2005

This is awesome!

“The MIT Media Lab has launched a new research initiative to develop a $100 laptop—a technology that could revolutionize how we educate the world’s children. To achieve this goal, a new, non-profit association, One Laptop per Child (OLPC), has been created. The initiative was first announced by Nicholas Negroponte, Lab chairman and co-founder, at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland in January 2005.”

Web2.0 is services oriented

September 27th, 2005

It’s interesting to follow the evolution of technology. The trends that we see occuring with internet technology have happened in other markets as technology becomes more prolific. The focus turns away from what the technology can do, onto how well the technology does it (and how it looks).

This is a picture of what services and features web2.0 will have. Noticed they almost say “great design,” but it’s implied.

He has been instrumental to many projects such as AIWA and Virgin Atlantic etc. He will finally be moving his stuff down from SF! And getting all the good stuff our employees get like health insurance, half-off classes at Art Center at Night, foosball table and a parking spot for his folding mini bicycle! Nice huh?
