300,000 Users a Week for Nike’s Just Do It website in China

Jack Peng of Oceanmonsters & THE_GROOP helped Nike launch a social networking/video blogging site for Chinese Youth. Collaborating with Wieden + Kennedy Shanghai, THE_GROOP helped launch the online portion of a unique campaign that marked a departure from its traditional approach for Nike. Instead of highlighting sports heros wearing their shoes Nike choose to highlight the stories of regular kids in China. In the first few weeks of the site being live it was pulling in 300,000 users a week! If that is not traction I don’t know what is.
